My headcanon is that Ibara's parents were never married but after Ibara's mother wanted to keep her baby, Ibara's father had him forcibly taken and given to an orphanage. Ib wanted to draw Ibara's mother on valentines night sleeping relatively peacefully, unaware that she will be fighting to keep her baby in roughly 9 months
