CONTEXT
In Vs Gladiator, Ibara finds out that Jun has received an offer to debut abroad and reacts uncharacteristically emotionally, grabbing Jun by his collar and acting as if Jun has betrayed him. This is in stark contrast to how Ibara reacted to a similar disagreement with Jun in Rouge & Ruby. I think the reason Ibara acts so OOC in this scene is because of his abandonment issues stemming from Yuzuru leaving him behind at the military base. Back then Ibara was convinced that Yuzuru would leave him to go to a better place, a place that implies more status and prestige (the Himemiya mansion). Here, Ibara says *he* is at fault for havong believed in Jun. This sounds strange in context because Ibara's phrasing implies Jun has failed in some way when he has actually achieved something Ibara would normally approve of (career success). I think what Ibara is actually implying here is that he was at fault for believing that it would be different with Jun, that he wouldn't leave him behind.
